June...wow!

To say the past week has been quiet could be the understatement of the year, but the fact is, for things to tell people about in a blog, it has been a quiet week. Which is just so sad to me...

We got back from our trip and it was definitely a week spent at work for me. It was busy, and slightly insane, but a good week all the same. Jay's week was a little less intense. There is so much to do now around the house, perhaps it may someday get done. Jay's parents gave him a wonderful birthday present, a gift card to Lowes, and so yesterday we went and bought one of those wow we really are grown up now things...a lawnmower, for the past year we have been borrowing a neighbors but didn't want to make a habit of that forever, we would rather break something of ours, than of someone elses. So yesterday we bought a grass cutter, and today it rains, so the grass grows and grows and grows....

We still have not finished painting the soon to be nursery which makes it hard to start getting things ready in there, but hopefully that will get done when we come up for breath....

Other than that, life at home has been quiet, Jay is teaching piano lessons now on Tuesdays which he is enjoying. And that's about it...

Just had to comment on this one... when we bought our house 4 years ago, we didn't feel like we needed a lawn mower right away either, but it was because the lawn was a mess. For 2 years we just weed-wacked the front yard!
