what a week

This past week has been insane. Jay started school last Monday and had a wonderful experience with all of his classes, so it should be a good semester. And he also found a job on Monday. He will be working at a music store in the mall, selling keyboards and pianos, it doesn't pay that well but hopefully when commission kicks in it will help a lot. So needless to say Jay has been very busy this past week, he went from not having anything to do, to having classes and working 21 hours a week. A little bit of adjustment. Now the challenge will be finding time to actually see each other. It was a little quiet going home and eatting lunch all by my lonesome today, but it meant i got to eat lots of veggies!

So that's what jay has been up to. I have been trying to get ready for September to get here, which is definitely a little scary, next week is going to be crazy busy. In my effort to get everything done ahead of time, my body decided it would be the perfect time to act up. So as I was sitting in my office last Wednesday trying to read the book for book club, this unbelievable pain decided to visit me. I have never experienced pains like that before, so after 4 hours of agony i went to the doctor, and he was trying to rule out an appendicitis, with no luck, which meant ER here I come. The only problem was jay started his first day of work at 4pm, and i was still at the doctor when he needed to leave and he had driven me there. So, he had to leave me there, and I had to call someone to pick me up and bring me to my car. Well when she heard the doc wanted me to go to the er, well needless to say we went straight to the er. I hate the ER. It didn't take too long to get into a room, but i was there for hours. They stuck me with an iv and got me hooked up with some morphine and nausea medicine and some lovely fluids. So i was laying in bed trying to figure out if my appendix was about to burst while a shift change took place and people dropped the ball and i was stuck there longer than i needed to be, but at least the morphine helped with the pain, to the point where i really couldn't feel anything, i think you could have dropped a box of books on my toe and i would have had no idea.

So i then got to go for a ct scan because i could no longer feel pain, and therefore was waisting everyone's time, but that was lovely in the ct room, it was cold, i was a mess and i just wanted to go to sleep. So after the ct scan i was told of all the lovely issues i have...some sists and an issue with my large intestine and a small case of coloitis. Which of these caused the pain? no idea. So i got to go home and sleep lots and lots, and not really go into work for 2 days and was on so many medications, all of which I am still using. But the real climax was friday night, when a lockin that was planned couldn't be changed, so after being up til 4 and then up again at 7, i felt miserable! So I am still recovering from that lack of sleep, and some crazy pain still and just feeling like bed time should be all the time. So that's my story and i'm sticking to it.

On lighter news, thursday after jay's class gets out we are headed to philly for the night and most of the next day and then are headed to Sea Isle City til Monday afternoon. We are both looking forward to the trip home and the chance to relax by the ocean in the lovely sand and hope that our beach days are lovely. We will also get to see Jay's parents, which I know they are thrilled about. So the week should end wonderfully. And then to return to September and the crazy week of lots and lots of things to do. But we are excited to get away with no real plans to gt us busy!
