It has been a busy couple of weeks around here...i apologize for the lack of updates...since the last post we have been to the dr once again...for our 30 week appointment, things are still looking good, my bp was a little higher but it has been a very busy week, the baby's was great, and still measuring a head of schedule, my belly was measuring at 33 weeks, so again we shall see. all blood work came back normal, so yippie to that! and we go again in a week and a half.
Besides dr visits, we worked with some youth and adults this past week on an in church mission project. We worked at the church, painting a hallway, cleaning out the resource room, getting classrooms ready and some other odds and ends around the place.
Jay was ordained and installed as an elder last sunday, something he is very excited about. granted it means he will now be at church more, as if either one of us needed to spend more time there...jk....
we did some electrical work around the house, and by we i mean jay. One of my birthday presents was a lovely gift card to lowes, and we used it to replace the hideous chandelier in there and to put a ceiling fan with light in the nursery and to replace a light fixture that wasn' working anymore. We do have pictures, but they will have to wait for another post. It was very exciting to have lights i would actually want to turn on in these key places. i have been looking at the light in the dining room since we moved in and i saw what i wanted to go in its place a year ago, i have just been waiting patiently.
As for the nursery, we were very excited last week when the crib arrived, only to be severly disappointed in the condition it arrived in. Again we have pictures, but not today, the box was so banged up on the outside, we opened it to discover all the lovely stuff they put in boxes to keep things in place were broken and scattered around the box, the beautiful wood was scratched and dented, and not in places that we could ignore it seemed all the pieces of wood you would see were the ones damaged. it was very sad. so we are still waiting for them to pick it up, and waiting for the replacement to arrive. And just as an fyi, the way babies r us does things is severely lacking, you create a registry, someone buys something, it gets damaged, and the person who bought it gets a refund instead of being able to exchange it. I am just glad the gift came from someone we felt comfortable telling them of the condition, imagine having to call someone who bought you a lovely gift and telling them it arrived damaged and could they please reorder it???? not ok. but hopefully the new one will come in beautiful condition and we will have a crib in the nursery.
Other than that, things have just been busy, but what else we have been up to completely slips my mind...oh the other week we went to charleston to build a bear and built our babies first stuffed animal, it is a cute floppy eared bunny, again pictures to follow some other day...
I guess that's it, hope all our well....
