Yes, I know it has been over 2 months since our last post. And I have no excuses, besides life being insane!
So here are the updates as I can remember them, or at least the most important.
Ella had her 18 month appointment last week (yes she is almost 19 months, we are a little off) she weighed in at 22 pounds 9 ounces, 31 inches tall and her head is still handing out at 18 and a half inches. So she is still on the small side but she is a bundle of energy and joy! She has the tiniest feet, she should be in a size 5 or 6 shoe, and some days she still wears her size 3s.
She is definitely a toddler, baby can not apply to this little one. She is in to everything but usually in a trying to help way. She loves to help with the dishwasher, taking silverware out and handing it to one of us to put away and putting away her own dishes. So cute (i have pictures but i know you weren't expecting a post after 2 months and pictures at the same time). She likes to wipe off tables and sweep. Don't get me wrong she still makes huge messes all the time!!!!
Her vocabulary is impressive, saying new words and phrases everyday. Her favorite is after eating something she likes she says, mmmmm that's good! So cute.
She is loving being outdoors, she plays outside while daddy does yard work, no toys necessary she just runs and plays, sits and falls back and giggles.
We took a long trip last month, spent a couple of days in Philly, got to hang with Asher and meet Hannah (and saw their wonderful parents of course). We hung out at Cheryl's new house and met up with a bunch of friends we hadn't seen in years! A good time, lots of playgrounds.
Then we headed up to Albany hung out with some peeps and we got to finally attend the Billy Joel and Elton John concert on their very last night of the tour! Great time! It was truly a wonderful night!
Ella had her appointment with the pediatric urologist while we were in Philly and this is the scoop. She will need surgery it is scheduled for June 24th (so I will be celebrating my 30th bday on the 25th with my little angel in the hospital). The dr recommended the open surgery because of the way her bladder refluxes. For most if they do reflux it is when they have a full bladder, Ella refluxes while her bladder is half full and the dr did not believe she would ever outgrow it and that it would just cause her major problems especially in regards to her being potty trained and living on an antibiotic for the rest of her life. So no outpatient procedure for her, she will have full open surgery in which they will construct a tunnel of sorts in hopes that will stop the reflux.
And I think that covers the major points of the last 2 months. I will get pictures up soon, maybe today we shall see and that should help me remember what else we might have been up to these 2 months!
