what in the world have we been up to

it has truly been a crazy month. Jay finished his semester, and took on teaching more lessons. Ella is growing up so fast. She was pretty sick for a couple of weeks a month ago, high fevers and throwing up, we ended up taking her to the ER which was not very helpful. But her pediatrician figured out it was a urinary track infection, so the sweet little girl is going to have to have her kidneys ultrasounded in a couple of weeks to make sure everything is working ok.

other than that, she is doing great, she is finally sleeping on her back in the crib, for ever she has slept in her carseat to sleep, she liked it, she slept so why change a good thing? well it was time, and after 3 days of not sleeping at all, she is sleeping really good, so we are very happy about that.

She is really loving food, so far on her loves list, is avocado (yep it's true she loves the stuff), pears, sweet potato mixed with apple juice, peaches, and her absolute favorite is banana, which we mix with pear juice and have just recently taken to adding cinammon too, she loves it! She'll eat a hole banana in one sitting, crazy girl!

She is still trying hard to cut her front teeth, they are there, above the surface but they just won't break through. She has begun to say, dadadadadad which began on mother's day, what a sweet angel we have!!! She loves the kitty and is starting to get the idea that she can move if she wants to, she isn't crawling but she likes to turn, so if you put her down she will wiggle her way around in a half circle, pretty cute!

But that's really all to say, we have been loving our little girl as much as we can and enjoying her every minute, she is such a sweetie! Oh right and jay had a big birthday last week he is now 30!!! so we had some fun celebrating with friends. It was an insane day, but we all survived. Stay tuned for a post of ella's pictures from her first portrait sitting, we are waiting for the grandmas to get theirs before we post them online.
