a rough week

this has not been the best week. Ella's check up on Tuesday did not go so well. we were very excited for this appointment we thought we had her weight gain going well and were excited for the go ahead to start food. However, from her last weigh in almost a month ago she only gained 2 ounces, and when a baby should gain an ounce a day that was not good. there are many reasons why the weight gain didn't happen, and we are trying to just accept it and make things better now.

We did have to take ella for some bloodwork and a urine sample just to make sure there isn't anything more serious going on, some of the tests have already come back but we need to wait a little longer for more info. But everything other than the weight was great, her length and head measurment, and developmentally she has hit all marks and is even a little a head on some.

So we will see how ella does when we take her back this week for another weigh in and results, but i can tell you we have put more food in this baby than she wants, if she utters a sound she is getting a bottle, we can't handle hearing certain words again, so we are doing everything we can.

on a happy note, ella is now taking naps on her back in her crib, up until now she was sleeping in her carseat, she still is at night but for naps she is on her own!

as for everything else, things have been a little crazy, jay is back at school and although he is only taking one class, it is 3 days a week and with an hour travel each way, it has made things interesting.

We are enjoying our little girl so much, she has definitely begun laughing out loud and not little giggles but rip roaring laughter, it makes strangers laugh. she is a delight!
