Transition

It is so hard to believe that Ella will be 12 weeks old tomorrow, time really is flying by. She is no longer a newborn, you can tell from her actions and how she pays attention, she is older. It is so amazing to watch her grow into a different stage.
We are happy to report that she also finally weighs more than the day she was born, it took a while, but thankfully in the last 2 weeks she gained half a pound which put her over that starting point, still a ways to go to get her on track but we are very happy with this growth. And it also means that newborn sizes just about don't fit anymore. We definitely were able to get a lot of use out of clothes that babies don't usually wear for very long.
It is also hard to believe that Christmas eve is 2 weeks from today and that family is coming in to town in a week and a half and we have done nothing! Ok we bought a tree, but it isn't decorate, we haven't bought presents or food, there are no decorations down from the attic, our christmas letter is written but not sent. The only present we have bought is a fist christmas ornament from things remembered that we had engraved and which will be the first ornament on the tree this year.
There is a lot to do and hopefully soon jay and i won't just see each other when we are passing the baby to the other so one can go to work.
Deep breaths we will get there.
